Microsoft support for Windows 7 came to an end on 14th January 2020 so there will be no more updates, patches or security hotfixes released. 

It’s common for hackers to find new ways to exploit vulnerable systems and there will be no means to protect Windows 7 computers from these attacks. 

Because unprotected vulnerabilities leave your computer exposed, the exploits do not need to be trojans or viruses and as such are unlikely to be discovered by antivirus software.

There’s no one actually stopping you from staying with Windows 7 if you really want to, but you should seriously consider whether you would want to use a vulnerable pc for activities like banking or online shopping or anything that requires you to provide your identity or financial information.
