If your fan is noisy and spinning faster than usual it’s a sure sign that your processor is getting too hot. This eventually leads to complete failure.

Usually it’s dust and fluff that has accumulated and is limiting airflow through the heatsink fins so the fan spins faster to try and compensate. Thermal paste between the heatsink and the processor also dries out and shrinks becoming much less effective.
